Clarence "Mike" Thornton

SFC (Ret) Clarence "Mike" Thornton, age 81, of Columbus, passed away Sunday, May 02, 2004, at his residence. Clarence was retired from the Army and Glick's Furniture Company. He was a member of the Central Ohio Woodworkers Association and Reformation Lutheran Church. He is preceded in death by wife, Elizabeth Ann, son, Kenneth (Velma A.) Thornton, and parents Clarence, & Daisy (Rowtham) Thornton Jr. He is survived by his children: Michael E. (Elizabeth R.) Thornton, Kathleen M. Balij (Jeffrey R. Jolliff), Deborah K. (Joseph) Barber, David L. White, Marliese C. (William) MacGillis; 14 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Thursday 5-8 PM at NEWCOMER-FARLEY FUNERAL HOME, 3047 East Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus. Funeral service will be 11 AM Friday with family receiving friends 9 AM until service time.
Interment in Franklin Hills Memory Gardens, Canal Winchester. Pastor Kathy Arbaugh-Patmon officiating.
