Claudia A. Spencer, 70, of Columbus, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 29, 2013.
She was a member of Friendship Pentecostal Church. Claudia was born in Richmond, VA on May 21, 1943, to Isaac and Geneva (Holmes) Burgess and is preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Tangelia Spencer.
Survivors include her daughter, Sharese Spencer; son, Mark (Toya) Spencer: sister, Doretha Gale; grandchildren, Devon and Amber Palmer; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Claudia worked as an administrative assistant for The Ohio State University for over 45 years.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 6, 2013, 11AM – 12PM at First A.M.E. Zion Church, 873 Bryden Road, Columbus, OH 43205, with the Funeral Service to follow at 12:00 PM. Private burial will be observed.
Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 East Dublin Granville Road, Columbus, OH is honored to serve the Spencer Family.
