BOGAN
Clellion "Claudia" L. Bogan, 79, passed away peacefully February 21, 2006, after a well-fought battle with melanoma. She was a strong Texas woman throughout. Born June 17, 1926 in Helmic, Texas, and settled in Columbus in 1965. Preceded in death by parents, Hallie and Joseph Lester, and grandson, Tony. Family was everything to Claudia, and she was a devoted wife, mother, and sister who enjoyed having her family around her. She was at her best with children, and had a special love for her grandchildren and great-grandchild and delighted in spending time with them. She was a wonderful cook, seamstress and enjoyed playing cards, becoming a master duplicate bridge player. She also loved animals, especially her cats, and was a steadfast champion for the underdog. Claudia is survived by her husband of 62 years, Harry D. "Dave" Bogan; daughters Margaret Swanson, Barbara (Fred Hensley) Bogan and Monica (Tim) Reid; son Michael D. (Michelle) Bogan, all of Columbus; grandchildren Rebecca (Jamie) MacIssac of Dublin, Catherine and Christopher Bogan; great-grandchild Ella MacIssac; dear friend Pat Smith of Grove City; sister Lyndell (Beek) Rollins of Apple Springs, Texas; brothers Billy Joe (Donna) Lester of Groveton, Texas, Frederick L. "Dudley" Lester of Lufkin, Texas; several nieces and nephews, and devoted companions Cali and Kitten. The family will receive visitors 6:00-8:00PM Friday, February 24, 2006 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio. Funeral services will be held 10:00AM Saturday, February 25, 2006 at the funeral home.
