Collette R. Strickland, 67, Columbus, passed away on Friday, January 25, 2008, at St. Ann's Mt. Carmel Hospital. Born to the late Angelo and Jenny (Cook) Acocella, Collette is also preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Robert A. Strickland; sisters, Norma, Josephine, and Teresa; brothers, Tony, Edward, Guy, and Patsy Acocella. Survivors include her sons, Robert (Robyn) Strickland, Jr. and Jeffrey (Jandi) Strickland; grandchildren, Bobbie Gail, Wesley, Justin, and Jeremy Strickland, Alison Hunter, Clyde and Shannon Blake; sister, Rosie (Fred) Becker; brother, Louis Acocella; several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 28, 2008, 4-8PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3047 East Dublin Granville Road, Columbus, OH with the funeral service on Tuesday, January 29, 2008, 11:00AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow immediately at Fairview Memorial Park, Delaware, OH.
