Constance C. Ford, "Connie", age 84 of Grove City, Ohio, passed away peacefully on February 12, 2024, surrounded by her family. She was born on October 20, 1939 in Libya, Africa to Orlando and Filomena (DiMarco) Marsili. Connie was the oldest of five girls. Her family moved back to Italy when she was two years old and later to the United States when she turned twelve.
Connie married Paul Ford in 1956 and together they raised seven children:Paul (Pam), Erma Payne (Greg), Tina Boles (Mel), Connie Mathews, Sandy Wagner (Greg), Michael (Paula) , and Bob (Denise). She was a dedicated and loving mother, always putting her family first. Connie took great joy in her role as a grandmother to 29 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.
In addition to being a devoted wife and mother, Connie had a successful career in floral designing. She owned Ford Flowers from 1973 to 1983, then worked for Joanne Flowers and Flowers by Love before her retirement.
Connie was a woman of faith and found solace in her religious beliefs. She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Grove City, where she found comfort and community.
Outside of her career and faith, Connie had a passion for gardening and landscaping. These hobbies provided her with relaxation and a creative outlet . She had a green thumb and her yard was a testament of her talent and dedications.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Paul, her parents Orlando and Filomena Marsili, daughter Connie Mathews, grandson Tim Boles, sisters Luisa Schurtz and Margarita Boehner and son-in-law Mel Boles.
Connie will be deeply missed by her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, sister Irma Wolfe (Al), many nieces and nephews and all who knew and loved her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and dedication to family.
The family will be receiving friends and loved ones at the Newcomer Funeral Home in Grove City, on Sunday, February 18, 2024 from 2:00pm to 5:00pm to pay their respects and celebrate Connie's life. A Rosary service will be held at 4:45pm. Mass will be held on Monday at 10:00am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 3730 Broadway, Grove City, OH. Burial to follow at St. Josephs Cemetery.
