Courtney Collmar

July 16, 1987 — February 18, 2023

Courtney S. Collmar, 35, left this temporary world for her everlasting home with Jesus unexpectedly, on February 18, 2023. She was born July 16, 1987, Westerville, Ohio, to Michael Collmar and the late Elizabeth Olon Collmar. Courtney was warm, hard-working, fearless and resilient. She made friends easily and was a positive and encouraging friend. She had the best laugh, was warm-hearted, sincere and full of joy. She had the soul of a drummer, a passion she shared with her dad. She was very talented and lit up the room when she played. While Courtney was a beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin and friend, addiction does not discriminate and her pain was real, burdens heavy and ultimately too much for this world.

Courtney was preceded in death by her mother, Elizabeth; maternal grandparents Frederick and Maryellen (Pearson) Olon; and paternal grandparents Gerald and Shirley Collmar. She is survived by her father, Michael Collmar; brother, Michael (Haily) Collmar; sisters Cara (Shawn) Orme and Madison Hamilton; nephews Colin, Cody, Robert and Andrew; niece Sophia; grandmother Ruth Olon; aunts Jerri (Tim) Myers, Kristine (Roy) Brewer, Susan (David) Rule; uncles Bill Olon and Lou Olon, and a host of cousins and many special friends.

We love you and will miss you Court! Your life and story will not be forgotten. If you or a loved one is battling addiction, you are in our prayers and our hope is that you will find love, hope and peace in Jesus. SAMHSA's National Helpline is a free, confidential, 24/7, 365-day-a-year treatment referral and information service for individuals and families facing mental and/or substance use disorders.
