Coy "Gene" Watson

Coy Gene Watson passed peaceably at his home on July 16, 2023. Gene was born to Thomas Lee and Kizzie Mae Watson in Branchland, West Virgina. He was proceeded in death by seven brothers and sisters and son Joel Watson. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years Carolyn. Brother Ben (Janet) Watson and sister Dottie Edmunds. Two sons Gregg (Deanna) Watson, Shawn (Kelli) Watson. Five grandchildren Josh (Stephanie) Watson, Danielle Watson, Micah (Rachel) Watson, Aaron Watson, and Lydia Watson. Three great grandchildren Thea, Luke, and Miles Watson and many nieces and nephews and friends.

Gene became a Christian in 1972 serving as a faithful witness and member at Westgate and Highland Baptist Churches. Gene was a hard worker who always provided for his family in every way. He loved Jesus his savior, his family, his church, and the Buckeyes.

In his last few months as he struggled with ALS and there were many who came to serve both Gene and Carolyn. These people were a great blessing and they will always be loved and treasured for their kind service. You made a huge impact.

Visitation will be Saturday, July 22, at Highland BC from 10:00-Noon. Service will be at Noon.
