Obituary Notes
COMPTON, Curtis, 78, of Delaware, passed away June 16, 2004. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ivilene Compton; parents, Ira and Nora (McGlothlin) Compton; daughter, Geraldine Compton and 3 brothers, June, Karl and Miles Compton. He is survived by his son; Gary and his wife Sandy of Bristol, VA; daughters, Gail Deel of Richwood, OH, Gaylene Summers and her husband Ron of Delaware, OH, Tammy Blanchard of Jensen Beach, FL; 13 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, Tatum Nicole Compton and Haley Nicole Renzella. He is also survived by his 2 sisters, Ilene Woods, Dorothy Mosley; brothers, Don, Herman and Giles Compton; many nieces, nephews and special nephew and his wife, Tim and Janet Compton. Curtis was a member of Troy Chapel Community Church. He was an avid car racing fan, loved animals and his gardening. Funeral services will be held 11:00AM Saturday, June 19, 2004 at Newcomer Farley Funeral Home 3047 East Dublin Granville Rd., Columbus, Ohio 43231. Visitation will be held from 6:00PM until 8:00PM Friday, June 18, 2004 and one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Inurnment will be held July 3, 2004 at the Compton family cemetery, Big "A" Mountain, Honaker, VA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in care of the family.
