Custer W. "Bud" Meek, age 82, passed away March 12, 2013. He was born June 12, 1930 in Louisa, KY.
Bud was preceded in death by loving wife, Fannie Mae; parents, Hubert Meek and Molly Clarkson; siblings, Carrie, Judy and Bennie.
He is survived by his daughters, Kathy (Larry) Church and Donna (Lee) Atkins; sister, Dorothy (Dennis) Diamond; grandchildren, Nikki Newman, Noella (Pat) Meek, April (Stephen) Meek, Jeremy Newman (Kim) and Ledo Meek; great-grandchildren, Jennifer, Joey, Sierra, Michael, Destiny, John, Tyler, Paul, Blaine, Makayla, Brayden, Brienna and many nieces and nephews. Special caretakers, loving grandchildren, Noella, Joey and April.
Bud was an avid outdoorsman and especially loved hunting, fishing, guitars, banjos and his Bluegrass music. Retired from Sutphen Fire Equipment and was a member of the Teamsters Local 284, N.R.A and Coon Hunters Association.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Friday, March 15, 2013 at Newcomer Funeral Home SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH 43123. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, March 16, 2013 at the funeral home. Burial in Sunset Cemetery.
