Dale Edward Devault

Dale Edward DeVault, 72, was a man of wisdom and strength. He was hardworking and dedicated to his family and friends. He passed away on May 20, 2024. He was born in Columbus on February 3, 1952 to the late Bert E. and Mary A. (McCabe) DeVault. He married Linda Hofmann on November 27, 1977, and she preceded him in death on August 9, 2006.

Those left to cherish his memory include daughter, Amber M. (Todd) DeVault; son, Nathan E. DeVault; siblings, Denise DeVault and Harry DeVault; the late Jeffery DeVault and Beverly Marcum (DeVault); grandchildren, Dominic Marsh, Devin Marsh, Nicholas DeVault, Ryleigh Shanahan, and Gage Workman: brother-in-law, Edward Hofmann; and many other family members and friends.

Dale graduated from Brookhaven High School. He was known to most as a Chef; lovingly feeding guests of multiple restaurants, but most notably The Wine Cellar and Stan’s Restaurant. When he wasn’t, Dale loved to spend time with his family and friends. His absence leaves a void in our hearts.

We welcome all who knew him to join us in celebrating the life of a man who was loved and will be missed dearly.

Immediate family will greet friends and family from 5 to 7pm, Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at Newcomer Funeral, Northeast Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, 43231. A service to honor Dale’s life will begin at 11am, Wednesday,
May 29, 2024, at Newcomer Funeral Home, Northeast Chapel. Burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
