Dale Q. "Pops" Jones, 72, Columbus, Ohio, died Monday, September 14th, 2015, at St. Ann's Hospital with his wife of 26 years, Francine, by his side.
Dale was born February 7th, 1943 to Orville Q. Jones and Virginia L. (Marcum) Jones and is preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Francine (Pruzan) Jones; daughter, Shannon (Jonathan) Kulp; sons, Dale Q. "Chip" (Katie) Jones II, Jeremiah (Corinne) Jones; stepsons, Shawn (Inga) Ehmann, Jason (Leigh Ann) Ehmann; stepdaughter, Apryl (Nate) Ash; grandchildren, Jacob Goings, Austin Jones, Kierstyn Coneybeer, Dylan Jones, Genevive Ehmann, Isaac Ehmann, Ray Ehmann, Elena Ehmann, and Skyler Ash; sister, Shirley (Zane) Bever; brother, Jerry (Arlene) Jones, brother-in-law, Jeff (Amy) Pruzan; nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
Dale loved his Buckeyes, was an avid fisherman who could be found at Buckeye Lake many a days, and whether it be a team sport or as an individual, he was one of the most competitive men we knew! His specialties included bowling, softball, golf, billiards, darts, cards, corn hole, and he was even known to play some beer pong a time or two! He was a young soul in a senior body!
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2015 1-2pm with the funeral service being held directly after at 2:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 East Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, Ohio.
Dale would've wanted to support his Buckeyes on a game day so please feel free to wear your Buckeye gear to the services!
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Mount Carmel Palliative Care c/o Mount Carmel Foundation, 6150 East Broad Street, Columbus Ohio 43213-9924.
