Dana Lee Williams "Poppy" passed away on April 3, 2023. He was born on March 26, 1932 in Crown City, Ohio to the late Lewis Williams and Ruth Gatewood Williams. He is preceded in death by his wife, Virginia "Ginny" Williams. He is survived by his children, Ed (Cheri) Williams, Ken (Debbie) Williams, Tom (Laura Murray) Williams, Karen Hahn, Gary Williams; 13 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; sister, Kay (Charles) Doeble; many nieces, nephews, and other good friends, including Charlie (Pam) Brown. Dana worked for Borden for 34 years and then drove a school bus for Southwestern City Schools for 17years. He coached little league for 27 years and also umpired for 25 years in Grove City. He also was an initial inductee in the Grove City Baseball Wall of Fame. US Army veteran of the Korean War. Inurnment will follow at Sunset Cemetery on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at 11:00am. Following the graveside service on Tuesday we will be gathering at the shelter house at Windsor Park, in Grove City where he dedicated so much of his life to share memories and celebrate all that he was to so many.
