Daniel G. Adami, a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, left this world February 11, 2025, at the age of 86, surrounded by the warmth of his cherished family. Born on September 15, 1938, in Sterling, Illinois, Daniel lived a life full of laughter, love, and remarkable accomplishments, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew him.
Daniel dedicated numerous years to his career at Kobacker, where he was valued not just for his work ethic but also for his infectious spirit. He later fulfilled a dream of entrepreneurship by owning and operating Do-Bi Catering Services in Pittsburgh, PA. and later owner of The Tamarack Restaurant in Columbus, Ohio. His culinary skills delighted many and showcased his deep love for food and cooking.
A graduate of the University of Illinois, he remained a lifelong Fighting Illini fan. Daniel was a passionate Pittsburgh Steelers fan, showcasing his unwavering support for the team. He loved to savor the moments spent simply enjoying good food, whether cooking at home or cheering on his favorite football team. His humor and sharp wit made him a joy to be around, and those who had the privilege to know him admired his loving nature and the laughter he brought into their lives.
Together with his beloved wife of 55 years, Pat, Daniel created a treasure trove of beautiful memories. They took many adventurous cruises together, exploring enchanting destinations in Australia, Hawaii, New Zealand, Barcelona, Greenland, Alaska, and even celebrating a Christmas tour in Germany. These experiences exemplified Daniel’s zest for life and his commitment to sharing joyful moments with those he loved.
Daniel prided himself on his greatest accomplishments — his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Pat; his daughter, Susan; his son, Anthony (Peggy); and his brothers, Ado, Ronald (Mari), and Michael (Mary). His legacy will continue through his many nieces and nephews, who carry his spirit in their hearts.
While we mourn the loss of a truly wonderful man, we find comfort in celebrating the life he lived and the love he gave so freely. Daniel joins his parents, Daniel and Ada (Taddeucci) Adami, and his brother John, who preceded him in death. He will be greatly missed, but his spirit will forever live on in the stories shared, the meals cooked, and the laughter that echoes within the hearts of those he touched.
