Daniel S. Cox, 61, was called to his eternal home on June 7, 2013. He was born on January 16, 1952 to James and Helen (Williams) Cox in Neon, KY.
Graduated from Watkins Memorial HS, Pataskala, OH. Served in the U.S. Army 1972 to 1978. Joined the Ohio National Guard, Columbus, OH in 1981, retiring in 1996 after a total of 21 years service with a rank of E7. Retired after 25 years service from Kroger Co. in 2003 and moved to LaBelle, FL where he worked 2003-2008 for Lee County D.O.T. in Ft. Myers, FL.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; one sister; one daughter and one grandson.
Daniel is survived by his wife, Shirley A. Cox; daughters, Courtney (Eric) Walser and Danielle Cox, Theresa (John) Reames and Victoria (Mel) Kiser; sons, Ryan (Melissa) Cox, Joe (Brenda) Loewendick and David (Celeste) Loewendick; 16 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and brothers, Richard (Lavonne) and Darrell (Beth) Cox.
Daniel was a member of the American Legion Post 130 of LaBelle, FL and Sunshine Worship Center, Ft. Myers, FL.
Visitation Wednesday, June 12, 2013 from 4 pm until the time of Funeral Service at 6:30 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH.
