Daniel A. Moore, 54, of Grove City, passed away peacefully May 21, 2007 after a long battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his father, Wilfred Moore; brother, Joe and mother-in-law, Libby Schilling. Dan is survived by his loving wife, Gretchen; daughter, Grace; mother, Audrey Moore; brothers, Chris (Linda), Eric (Monica), Tim (Cindy), Sam (Kim); father-in-law, Al Schilling; brother-in-law, Allen (Marianne) Schilling; best friend, Dr. Jeff Ferritto; numerous nieces, nephews and countless friends. Dan attended Our Lady of Perpetual Help grade school, was a 1970 graduate of Bishop Ready High School and a 1979 graduate of The Ohio State University. He was a member of the Bishop Ready High School Basketball team that won the City League Champs in 1970 and was a good friend of the V.F.W. Post 3441 and the Knights of Columbus Santa Maria. Dan was an avid golfer and will be missed by members of the Shady Golf League and Westside Legends. He was Co-Owner and Director for 27 years of the Bobbsie Twins Childcare. He will be missed by many west side families and the staff. Visitation will be held 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00PM Wednesday, May 23, 2007 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio. Funeral services will be held 10:00AM Thursday, May 24, 2007 at the funeral home. Rev. Ron Sams and Rev. Bill Burns will be officiating with interment at Sunset Cemetery.
