Daniel Lee Roy Rogers

Daniel Lee Roy Rogers, age 66, died peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, at his home in Sunbury, OH on Friday, June 23, 2023. He courageously fought his battle with Parkinson's Disease, Dementia, and Cancer over the past 12 years.

"Dan," as he was affectionately known, was born February 18, 1957 in Pueblo, Colorado to James and Carol Rogers. Dan will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father, and faithful friend whose passion for Jesus burned brightly. He was a member of the High Street Baptist Church, where he served as an Assistant Pastor for 40 years. Countless testimonies of changed lives bear witness to the compassion for others that characterized his life.

Those left to cherish his memory include his faithful wife of 38 years, Cheri Rogers of Sunbury; his children: Justin Rogers (wife Kalee) of Sunbury, Candace Childers (husband Mike) of Ashley, Jordan Rogers (wife Angela) of Cardington, Cayla Finnell (husband Trevor) of Delaware, and Joseph Rogers (wife Alli) of Sunbury; his grandchildren: Brenden, Daniella, Ava, Sadie, Jay, Savannah, Michael, Stella, Jimmy, Harper, Tori, and Theo; his brothers: Scott Rogers (wife Jan) of Independence, MO, and Gordon Rogers (wife Kathy) of Pueblo, CO; and numerous nieces, nephews, and in-laws.

Visitation will be Friday, June 30, 2023, from 10 am - 11:30 am, followed by the commemoration service at 11:30 am. Both will be held at the High Street Baptist Church, 7399 N. High Street Columbus, OH 43235.

Burial & Graveside Service will be at Kingwood Memorial Park & Cemetery, 8230 Columbus Pike Delaware, OH 43035.
