Daniel R. Routte, 54 of Westerville, passed away Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at OSU Medical Center after a lengthy illness. Born October 6, 1958 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Raymond and Florence Routte.
Dan loved animals, go cart racing, old cars or anything with wheels that went fast. He enjoyed collecting Borden's memorabilia. He was also an avid Buckeye fan.
Preceded in death by father-in-law, Peter Egan.
Survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Colleen; daughters, Tiffany (Scott) Carpenter; Jessica Routte; 3 grandchildren, Delaney, Ava and Aindrea Routte; mother-in-law, Mary E. Egan; sisters-in-law, Debbie (Les) Dodd, Kathy Egan; brother-in-law, Sean (Mary) Egan; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many good friends.
Friends and family may call from 1:00 – 3:00 PM Saturday, January 19, 2013 at Newcomer Funeral Home NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd. Columbus, where services will begin at 3:00 PM Saturday with Pastor Mike Brown officiating.
At Dan's request, everyone should wear their favorite jeans.
