Daniel W. Messmer Sr. 76 of Grove City passed on July 8, 2015. He was born March 10, 1939 in Columbus to Frederick and Theresa Messmer who preceded him in death. He was also preceded by siblings Frederick Jr., Mary Lou, and Rose Marie. Survivors include his wife Barbara; children Debbie (Dallas) Hanna, Tracy Noble, Dan (Desiree) Messmer Jr., Robbie (Kim) Taylor, Matthew Messmer; 11 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; sisters Jane (Claude) Dixon, and Patty Ann Jackson.
He was a member of Sheet Metal Workers Local 98 and formerly in the Army National Guard.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8PM Tuesday July 14, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home SW, 3393 Broadway Grove City, OH 43123. A funeral mass will take place at 10AM Wednesday July 15, 2015 at St. Ladislas Catholic Church 277 Reeb Ave. Columbus, OH 43207. Burial will follow in Sunset Cemetery.
