Danny F. Mason

Danny Foster Mason, age 59, went home to Jesus on Sunday, November 19, 2023. Danny was born in Columbus, Ohio, to Gilbert and Florence (Gussler) Mason. Greeting him in heaven is his mother (Florence), sister (Beckie) and brother (Russ). Surviving Danny is his father Gilbert Mason; his children, Eli (Heather) Mason and their two sons Carson and Carter, Chelsi (Bryan) Hosea, and Levi (Hayley) Mason; his loving ex-wife and best friend Sharon Mason; siblings Jeff (Joan) Mason and Samantha (Albert) Tipton; and in-laws Amy Mason and Dale Holland. Also surviving are his dear friends Troy Legg, Darrell West, Dave Maynard, Shawn Thompson, and Ryan Trimble; honorary grandson, Baby Shawn Thompson; grandanimals Echo, Bobo, Maze, and Oscar, whom Danny affectionately called Stir Fry.

Danny was a graduate of Madison Plains High School, where he graduated in 1982. Danny held many jobs throughout the years, retiring from Corna Kakosing.

Anyone who knew Danny knew he was a storyteller, adventurer, and an avid outdoorsman. He loved fishing, hunting, trapping, trips to Canada with his family, trips to Colorado with his friends, Boy Scouting with his dad, FFA, 4H, and church retreats at Judson Hills.

Danny's family will receive friends from 2-5pm on Sunday, November 26th at Newcomer, 3393 Broadway, Grove City. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 27th at 11:30am at Newcomer with Pastor Anthony Smith officiating. Interment to follow at Pleasant Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, friends may contribute to funeral costs or by donating to Farmers & Hunters Feeding the Hungry.
