Darla V. Sheppard

Mom Darla Virginia Sheppard, 63, passed away unexpectedly on March 18, 2025, in Columbus, Ohio.

Born in Lancaster, Ohio, Darla attended Groveport High School. She was a devoted mother to her children, Zachary Crump (Krissi), Ashley Kube, Nicole Gibson, and Ryann Crump (Lauren). She also cherished her grandchildren—Macey, Felix, Ainsley, Evee, and Otto—who brought immense joy to her life. Darla was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Kenneth Sheppard, and her mother, Karen Mahan.

Darla had a heart full of love and generosity. She was known for her warmth and kindness, always ready to help anyone in need. Her presence brightened every gathering with happiness and laughter. She had a passion for writing and enjoyed playing Pharaoh video games. Her love for animals was evident in the way she cared for her dogs with unwavering devotion. Cooking was another of her many talents; she delighted in preparing meals that brought family and friends together. Above all else, she deeply loved her children and treasured the time spent with them.

Darla's kindness and love will be dearly missed by all who knew her. May her memory bring comfort to those who mourn her passing.

Visitation Wednesday, March 26, 2025 from 10:30am until the time of Funeral Service at 11:30am at Newcomer, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH. Interment to follow at Fernwood Cemetery, Lockbourne, OH.
