Darlene Doris (Shields) Adair, 83, passed away Saturday, October 11, 2008. She was a very kind woman, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, who will be greatly missed. She was born to the late Thomas Shields and Olive Taylor on March 31, 1925 in Portsmouth, OH. Graduate of Central High School. She is preceded in death by her step-parents, Charles Taylor and Freda Shields; infant son, Thomas Watson; step-daughter, Judy Adair. Darlene is survived by loving and devoted husband of 55 years, Billy; children, Connie (Terry) Feder, Susan (Danny) Hoosier, Sandra (Ed) Jones, Billy Adair, and Perry (Mary) Adair; 18 grandchildren, Darla, Jason, Timothy, Matthew, Paul, Elizabeth, Nicholas, Dustin, Shaunda, Cassandra, Ashley, Brandon, Lauren, Jaydon, Doug, Delorse, Eva, and Melissa; 29 great-grandchildren, sister-in-law, Ann Adair; dear friend Pearl Seidel; numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and family. Friends may call from 5-8 P.M. on Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at Newcomer Funeral Home SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway Grove City, where the funeral service will take place at 10 A.M. on Wednesday, October 15, 2008. Pastor Mike Nichols officiating. Interment Obetz Cemetery.
