Darlene Vandergriff, 61, went to be with the Lord Friday, March 9, 2007, winning victory in Jesus following a courageous battle with breast cancer for over three years. Survived by loving husband of 44 years, Charles; daughters, Tammy, Nancy (Tim) McHale and Jenny; grandchildren, Tiffany and Cam; brother, Don (Doris) Fox; numerous nieces and nephews; brother-in-law, Gene (Sandy) Vandergriff; sister-in-law, Becky (Charlie) Shannon. Darlene is preceded in death by a daughter, Sandy. At Darlene's request, there will be no visitation and a private family service will be held later. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Darlene's memory to St. Jude's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. The family wishes to acknowledge Dr. Yadav, Dr. McEldowney and Dr. Brenda Sickle-Santanello and the staffs of Grant and Doctors West Hospitals for their kindness and care.
