Darlene Vaughn was born on February 18, 1952, in Toledo OH, to the union of Charles Sr. and Susie Hill. She was a loving, devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She received her angel wings on Monday, March 28, 2022, in the presence of her beloved family.
Darlene was preceded in death by her parents, brother Charles "Butch" Hill, sisters Joyce Koonce, Karol Odom and special brother-in-law Elder Sylvester "Syl" Jackson.
As a 1970 graduate of Libby High, Darlene furthered her education at Stautzenberger College in Toledo Ohio. She was employed by Ohio Bell for over 25 years. Darlene was also employed with the The Anderson Company.
Darlene was united in holy matrimony to Herbert Franklin Vaughn Jr., June 24, 1971. Darlene enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren and friends. With her witty personality, she could look at an individual and create a comical meme that would leave you laughing. At the "girlfriends" gathering, she was always the highlight of the event!! Darlene was a born organizer. She was known for her creative ability to produce outstanding fashions shows, luncheons and fundraisers for the Latter Rain Ministries under the late Bishop William Morgan James. She later joined the The Worship Center under the leadership of Bishop Pat McKinstry, where she faithfully served until relocating to Columbus, Ohio.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of fifty years, Herbert, daughter Jennifer (Travis) King of Columbus, Ohio, three grandchildren Julian, Caleb and Savannah; brother Steve (Regina) of Toledo; sisters Betty Jackson, twin sister Marlene, Debbie all of Columbus, Ohio; Diane Grace, Linda (George) Jones of Toledo, Ohio; favorite aunt Thelma Moore, loving niece and nephew, Sherronda and Davin Campbell, Augusta, Georgia, numerous in-laws and other relatives and friends.
In memory of Darlene (Hill) Vaughn, a celebration of life memorial will take place on April 3, 2022 4pm EST at the Worship Center of Toledo 2210 Collingwood Blvd. Toledo, OH 43620.
