Darlene Watson went home on Saturday, March 30, 2013 at O.S.U. Medical Center.
She graduated in 1976 from Linden-McKinley High School and attended Columbus State Community College.
Darlene retired from Friendship Village of Columbus.
She is survived by her mother, JoAnn Watson; daughter, Maria Watson; son, Frank D. Watson; granddaughter, Nilah; sisters, Jacqueline Watson of Cleveland, OH, Crystal James of Jonesboro, GA and Bobbie Watson; brothers, Frank Watson Jr. and Sylvester Watson; extended family, mother-in-law, Marie Croom; sister-in-law, Anne Brooks; brothers-in-law, Curtis (Judy) Croom and Dion (Kezia) Croom and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
Darlene was preceded in death by her father, Frank Watson Sr. and husband, William Croom.
Visitation will be Saturday, April 6, 2013 from 9:00-10:00 AM at New Palestine Church, 1000 E. Hudson St. Columbus, with the funeral service beginning at 10:00 AM, with Apostle Rickey C. Baker Sr., officiating.
Interment will be in Eastlawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Liver Foundation, 5755 Granger Rd. suite 335 Independence, OH 44131.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Newcomer Funeral Home NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd. Columbus.
