Darlene Yuill, 67, was born in Columbus, Ohio to Lucille and Rick Bell. She departed this life on December 23, 2012, at Kobacker House after complications from a surgery that left her hospitalized for months.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Lucille Bell; father, Rick Bell and stepmother, Lenora Bell; brother, Robert "Buddy" Bell; sisters, Josephine Garner, Wanda Bell, Johnella Dunn; Grandbaby, Garrison D. L. Burke; first husband, David L. Burke and second husband, Lorenzo Yuill.

Left to cherish her memory are her children; daughter, Tonya M. Burke; sons, Garry and wife, Tonya D. Burke and Dontae' Bell; four grandchildren; Tanisha Burke of San Diego, CA U.S. Navy, Jonathan Burke, Tyree Burke and Trinity Burke; brother in-law, Leslie Garner; special sisters, Sheila Reddy, Carol Dorton-Barnett, Phyllis Latham, Margaree Curtis; special nieces,Tomeka, Aleta, Qiana; special cousins, Robin Davis, Thomas Family and Willis Higginbotham; many, many nieces and nephews. She also had many close friends that she grew up with from Poindexter Village and the East side of Columbus; her friends from several Motor Cycle Clubs, "CC Dragons", " Toros", "The Flames" and "Heavy Metals".

Darlene was retired from General Motors (Delphi). She was baptized in The Church of Christ many years ago. She was able to attend services a few times in recent years until her health no longer permitted. Darlene is best known to many for her cooking and her happy personality. Once a friend always a friend was her way of life. She would always give free heartedly to anyone in need. She truly loved thy neighbor. Darlene played an active role in her grandchildren's lives. They describe her as "The Best Grandma Ever"! Her friends and family will miss her phone calls, her laughter and her "Macaroni and Cheese".

The family would like to thank the Kobacker House for their loving care and support. At Darlene's request, a private family service will be held at a later date. Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 East Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, OH 43231 is honored to serve the Burke-Yuill Family.
