Darren Kent Taylor

Darren Kent Taylor, 63, of Columbus, passed away on Saturday, August 26, 2023. He was born in Columbus on February 20, 1960 to the late Roy E. W. and Dorothy (Logsdon) Taylor. He married Kathy A. Parsons on July 29, 1978, and she preceded him in passing on September 3, 2022.
Those left to cherish Darren's memory include daughter, Melissa (Robert Carlisle) Taylor; sons, James (Stephanie) Taylor and Tony Kelso; grandchildren, Brandon, Olivia, Scarlet, and Allie; great-grandchild, Nova; brothers, Ken (Michelle) Taylor and Ed (Monique) Taylor; one sister, Mary (Stephen) Smith, and his dear four-legged companion and partner in crime, Jemma. Along with his parents and dear wife, Darren was preceded in death by one sister, Patricia Petty (surviving spouse, Mike Petty).
Darren served as a maintenance technician for different businesses in the Columbus area. He loved to tinker with machinery and working on cars, including his 1970 Road Runner Superbird. He loved to attend swap meets and car shows with his family, including his son, James and brother, Kenny.
A service to honor Darren will be held at 12 Noon, Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at the Newcomer SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH 43123. Visitation will be held from 10am until time of service, same day. Burial to follow service in Obetz Cemetery. Newcomer SW Chapel is honored to serve the Taylor family.
