David Ray Beck, 92, of Rockbridge, passed away March 1, 2024. He was born in Columbus on November 21, 1931 to the late Ray A. and Beatrice
C. (Kidner) Beck. He married Shirley Fry and she preceded him in death in 1986.
Those left to cherish his memory include three daughters, Stephanie Garrison, Michelle Reeb, and Laura (Eric) Grashel; four grandchildren, Tami Reeb, Andy (Andrea) Reeb, Samantha (Andrew) Selegue and Josie Grashel; six great-grandchildren, Adrianna Woodruff, Robert Woodruff, Zoey Fowler, Hayleigh Reeb, William A. Reeb, and Madison Selegue; special friends, Ken and Jan Nester; and many other extended family members and friends.
Along with his parents and wife, David was preceded in death by brother and sister-in-law, Clearance and Dorothy Beck; brother, Kenneth Beck; and sons-in-law, William Garrison and William Reeb, Jr.. David started out his working career in the construction field. But he also had a deep passion for cars. He loved working on his car; so much he turned it into his second career. When he wasn't working David loved to camp with Funseekers Camp Club, watching NASCAR, and fishing.
A graveside service to honor David's life will be held at 11am, Saturday, March 9, 2024 at Maplewood Cemetery, 4585 Reynoldsburg-New Albany Road, New Albany, OH 43054.
