David William DeLong (84) of Baltimore, Ohio returned to his Lord on Saturday March 2, 2024, at Fairfield Medical Center, surrounded by his family. David was born in Highland Park, Michigan, to the late Jess and Fern DeLong.
David was a member of the Ohio World Organization of China Painters for 40 years and served as the current President. During his 40 years as a member, he became a teacher and was a master of painting roses. He loved painting china while listening to classical music.
Recently retired, he worked 54 years designing and creating custom draperies for many interior designers around the central Ohio area. David was an Elder in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and a member for 49 years.
David was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to all. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him and loved him. David was extremely proud of all his children and their accomplishments and even more proud of his 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
David is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Barbara Jean (Stevenson) DeLong; son Emery DeLong; daughter Diana (Stephen) Pickett, their daughter Rachel (Jeffrey Jr.) McKinnon, their sons, Raylan and Theodore; daughter Melanie Backus, her daughters, Danielle and Isabelle; daughter Jennifer Langham, her children, Zierra (Nicholi) Cox, their children, Arianna, Zayden and Leilani; Eric (Holly) Langham, their children, Summer Langham, Liam and Mason McCoy; daughter Autum Mitchell, her son Tavon Brown; daughter Angellica Mitchell (Fred English II), their children, Freddie, Angelo and Giovanni; daughter Desiree DeLong, her children, Sid Collins, Tiana and JR Andrews.
In addition to his Parents, David is preceded in death by his brother Donald DeLong.
Visitation will be Saturday, March 9, 2024 from 9am until the time of service at 10am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints 2135 Baldwin Rd. Reynoldsburg, OH 43068.
Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
