David L King

David Lee King: known by those who loved him as Dave and those who rode with him as Bobo, aged 65, from Columbus, OH, passed away suddenly at Grant Medical Center on June 3rd, 2022. Dave was diagnosed with cancer and receiving radiation and chemotherapy. Unfortunately, complications from the cancer and treatment abruptly took him from us.

Dave was born January 15th, 1957, to Floyd and Lolabelle (McCall) King. He had a brother, Floyd "Paul" King Jr. and a sister, Charlene Cantrell.

He shared 3 children with Jeanne Maley: Sandy, Tammy, and David King Jr. With Toni Daft he shared children Tracy and James "Jimmy" Daft. He shared a daughter, Patricia "Pete" Moore, with Sharon Moore and a son, Blaine King, with Monique Phillips. Dave also stepped into the lives and played a role in helping raise Clarence "Butch" Mattox, Andrea Moore, Kristen DiNardo (Young), James "Jimmy" Young, Ashley Young, Alexis Young, and Courtney Phillips.
Dave had a fierce and dedicated love of motorcycles, tattoos, and all things Harley Davidson.

While quiet and reserved at times, what he left unsaid was made up for in his actions; he would help those he loved without hesitation or expectation. He was a good man who loved all his children; he was so proud of being their dad. His ever-present hat/bandana, boots, and jeans were his trademark. That bearded smile/smirk accompanied by his head nods will be forever missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, sister, son Jimmy, and granddaughter Heaven. He is survived by his former partners, remaining children/stepchildren, grandchildren/great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews/great-nieces and great-nephews.
