David Merritts, 37, of Plain City, Ohio, passed away Friday, October 3, 2008 after a courageous battle with cancer. David was preceded in death by his mother, Judy A. Kneisley; sister, Dixie Leona Merritts; and niece Kaitlyn Ann McDonald. David is survived by his loving daughters, Taylor Merritts, Megan Vance, and Ali Vance; fathers, Gale Kneisley and Andrew Merritts; sisters, Andrea (George) West, Pati (Joe) Bocook, and Debbie (Larry) McDonald; 9 nieces and nephews who adored him; and numerous friends and relatives. David will be remembered as a loving father and amazing brother. His sense of humor was a comfort to all who loved him. Family would like to thank the staff of HomeReach Hospice and the Kobacker House. Visitation will be held Sunday, October 5, 2008 from 6:00PM-8:00PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio. Funeral services will be held Monday, October 6, 2008 at 10:00AM at the funeral home. Pastor Ed Linville officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Cemetery.
