David "Michael" Christ

David "Michael" Christ, age 69, of Columbus, passed away on August 28, 2011, after losing a year-long battle with lung cancer. He was born on Sept. 28, 1941, in Columbus, the son of the late Frank and Florence (Lucas) Christ. He was a graduate of St. Charles Preparatory School in 1959. He served in the Army National Guard, worked at Columbia Gas for 11 years, but retired from Bank One after 35 years. He was an avid golfer, a football enthusiast (OSU and Browns Fan), and an excellent card and poker player. He married his wife, Jean (Jones) of Ravenna, OH on April 22, 1977. He is survived by his wife; daughter, Lindsey Christ and son-in-law, Bob Lee; son, Dustin Christ; two grandsons, Ashton Henwood and Bradin Christ; two brothers, Tom and Phil Christ. He will be forever missed by his friends and family but will live on in their hearts and memories. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 30, 2011, 2-4PM and 6-8PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 East Dublin Granville Road, Columbus, OH. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, August 31, 2011, 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Cemetery Chapel, 6440 South High Street, Lockbourne, OH 43137.
