David Lee Minniear arrived on August 19, 1947 and was freed on August 16, 2021.
David proudly served our Country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was a true Native American and carried his heritage with him everywhere he went. He enjoyed experiencing his Native American culture frequently; attending things like Pow Wow's. He was a true friend and helping hand to all and will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He never met a stranger to know him was a life changing experience. He made the world a better place and his teachings and love will live forever.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Lisa Minniear; daughters, Shirley Minniear, April (Ken) Redding, Arlena Minniear; sons, David E. Minniear, Harold Minniear, Jeffrey Hale and John Hale; siblings, Kathie Minniear, Karen (Bob) Renell and Kenny (Jenny) Minniear, Dennis Minniear and Joyce (Jim) Rogers; and step-mom, Carol Minniear; 12 grandkids, 2 great-grandkids; many nieces and nephews; Dee John and Julie Mabry; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elaine and Walter Minniear and his brothers, Harold Norman Minniear, Thomas Minniear and Lawrence Tomer.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 25, 2021, from 3-7 p.m., at Newcomer SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, 43123. A funeral service will begin at 7 p.m.
