David Paul Noel, 71, of Pataskala, passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2008 at Licking Memorial Hospital. He was born June 22, 1936, in McDermott, OH, son of the late Charles and Lyda Henry Noel. In addition to his parents, David is preceded in death by his brothers, Clarence "Shortie", Russell Dean, and Todd "Bud"; sisters, Audrey, Mildred "Boeb" Lyda and Helen. He served in the Army during the Korean Conflict and was a member of the Knights of Pythias and retired from Western-Electric after 15 years of service. David is survived by his wife, Wilma Picklesimer Noel; son, Todd Noel; daughters, Ruth Ann (Brady) Hackney and Pauline (Albert) Smith; brother, Jack (Mary Lou) Noel; sisters, Virginia Palladino and Ann (Roger) Woodruff; grandchildren, Russell Littrell, Trey Smith, Alysha Smith and Samantha Vannatta; brother's and sister-in-law, James (Gail) Picklesimer and Russell Montgomery. Visitation will be Friday, March 14, 2008 from 2:00-9:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home N.E. Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, and also on Saturday, March 15, 2008 from 11:00-1:00 PM, with the funeral service to follow. Interment will be in Jersey Cemetery.
