David J. Paul

David Paul, 65, of Columbus, Ohio, returned to our Lord on July 9, 2024.

He was born in Columbus in 1959 to Charles and Elsie Paul. David spent much of his childhood working on the family farm and making memories with his brothers and sisters. He graduated from West Muskingum High School before joining the U.S. Army as a 19K Armor Crewman, of which he honorably served for 7 years. David met the love of his life, Kyong Suk, while he was stationed in South Korea. They married and he returned home, where he served in the civilian world as a Team Leader for Honda, retiring after 29 years with the company.

David was a devoted husband to Kyong Suk for 37 years until his passing. They shared two children together, Joshua and Marie. He also was a loving dad to David C. and Thomas Paul. David’s legacy includes his grandchildren, whom he loved spending time with.

Everyone who knew David, at some time benefitted from one of his many skills. He was happy to help a family member or friend with car repairs, home improvements, and anything that needed fixed. David loved his country, muscle cars, Ohio State football, working in the garage, and spending time with his family.

Most of all, David valued his faith in Jesus Christ. He loved the Lord and built his family around the principles of the Bible.

David was preceded in death by parents Charles and Elsie Paul, and son Thomas Paul. He is survived by his wife Kyong Suk Paul, children David C. Paul, Joshua (Dana) Paul, and Marie (Brent) O’Brien.

The Funeral Service is 10:00am Monday, July 15th at Newcomer in Grove City.
