David Scott Miller

May 19, 1945 — December 1, 2024

David Scott Miller, fondly known to all as Scotty, left this world on December 1, 2024, at the age of 79. Born on May 19, 1945, in charming town of Louisa, Kentucky, Scotty lived a life that radiated warmth and kindness. He was a man who never met a stranger; his friendly and welcoming nature lit up every room he entered. He was known for his easygoing spirit—he approached life with a go-with-the-flow attitude and often brought laughter to those around him with his remarkable ability to crack a joke at just the right moment.

Scotty spent 27 loving years with his wife, Winnie O. Miller, whose memory he cherished deeply. Together, they forged a bond that was a testament to the love he instilled in his family. His proudest accomplishments revolved around his family; he took immense joy and pride in being a dedicated husband and father.

In his leisure time, Scotty found joy in many activities. He loved to fish, sharing those peaceful moments with his beloved wife. Food also held a special place in his heart; he enjoyed good meals and delighted in cooking for those he loved. Many treasured evenings were spent watching movies and playing video games with Winnie, creating memories that will last in the hearts of his family forever.

Scotty is preceded in death by his father, Raymond Miller, his mother, Ina Miller, and his beloved wife, Winnie, his children; David Keith Miller, Elaina Adel Miller, Rainey Miller.   He also mourned the loss of five brothers and two sisters. His legacy, however, lives on through the family he so dearly loved. Surviving him are his son, Rodger (Shellie) Miller; daughters, Cheri (Brian) Sturgell, Debbie Taylor, Michelle (Mike) Noel - Schierloh, Judy (Francis) Mayle, and Sandy (Tim) Wood; as well as sons, Jeffery Miller and Jim (Jennea) Noel. Scotty was a proud grandfather to many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whose lives he enriched with his unwavering love and laughter. He leaves behind a multitude of nieces and nephews, all of whom carry a piece of his spirit within them.

As we remember Scotty, we celebrate a life filled with joy, laughter, and profound love for family and friends. His easygoing manner, friendly disposition, and the warmth of his laughter will be sorely missed. In our hearts, he remains a guiding light, reminding us always to connect with one another and cherish the moments we have. David Scott Miller's legacy will forever be etched in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

A private family graveside service will be held at a later date.
