David White entered eternal rest on Sunday, June 6, 2010, after a long illness as the result of a stroke. He was a construction worker, truck driver by trade and enjoyed horse races, playing poker and turkey shoots. He lived life on his own terms until he finally accepted the Blessings of Our Lord Jesus Christ, on October 31, 2005. He was so happy to repeat his wedding vows with his "doll", Janice, for their 50th wedding anniversary. Surviving him is his wife, Janice; their children, Susan (Bob), Annette (Leo), Michael (Pam), Roger (Tammy),Tempie (Mike) and Alan (Shelby). Also surviving him are 19 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews and friends. Special thanks to the nurses and staff of Columbus Rehabilitation and Subacute Center for their tireless efforts to keep David comfortable for the past 5 ½ years. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 10, 2010, 5-8 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH with the Funeral Service on Friday, June 11, 2010, 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Reverend Eddie Back and Reverend Jay P. Justice will officiate. Interment to follow at Mifflin Cemetery, Gahanna.
