Dean E. Burdette, 57, of Columbus, passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at St. Ann's Hospital after a hard fought battle with lung cancer. Born March 6, 1955 in Clintonville.
A 1973 graduate of Whetstone High School followed by 4 years of service in the US Marine Corp. Dean was a graduate of Franklin University and the Ohio State Highway Patrol Academy and served as a Bexley Police Officer. He was most recently known as the owner and operator of The Frame Shop where he excelled in artistic design and superior craftsmanship.
Preceded in death by father, Delmar E. Burdette; mother, Ruth M. Davis.
Survived by sisters, Kathleen M. (Roger) Wayts; Jan B. Jensen; nieces and nephew, Anne Lothes, Teri Heller, Katie Brown, Rick Gehring and their families; many great friends.

Friends may call from 1-3 & 6-8 PM, Monday, February 25 at Newcomer Funeral Home NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd. Columbus where funeral services will be held 11 AM Tuesday. Burial immediately following in Green Lawn Cemetery with Military Honors.
