Dean Alan Smith

Dean Alan Smith, age 65, of Columbus, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2024. Dean was born on June 24, 1958 to Adolphus and Janice Smith (Hill.)

He is preceded in death by his father, Adolphus Smith Jr., his step-father, Jack Buckingham, his brother, Daniel Smith, his step-brother, Jack Buckingham, and his grandbaby, Daxton Alan Smith.

Dean is survived and deeply missed by his son, Dustin Smith, his mother, Janice Buckingham, his grandchildren, Aubrey, Daylan, Tessa, Gracelyn, and Devin, his brothers, Doug and David Smith, his sister, Linda Flemming, his step-brother, Sid Buckingham, and his step-sisters, Rita Starkey and Vicky Gaines.

Dean loved playing and watching sports such as: softball, baseball, golfing, and football. He had a passion for landscaping and playing music on his harmonica. He enjoyed cooking, as well as camping and going on vacations.


Family and friends may call at Newcomer SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio 43123 on Friday, January 26, 2024 from 3:00pm-6:00pm for visitation hours, with a Memorial Service in Dean's honor to follow, officiated by Celebrant Sean Warren.
