Deborah Lynn (Williams) Dixson, age 62, passed away Saturday, September 18, 2021 at OSU East Hospital.
Deborah was born on July 30, 1959 in Dinuba, California. She was the daughter of the late Jessie Lee Williams and Nina Violet (Berry) Williams.
She was raised in Kingsburg, California, home of the SunMaid Raisins Company. Debbie was a 1977 Kingsburg High School graduate. She went on to Cosmetology College and Nursing College in Reedley, California.
Debbie loved the Lord. She was baptized and a member of the Cathedral of Light church in Selma, California for many years. She always spoke and called on His name. She hoped that one day her children would come to the Lord too.
She loved many things like crocheting blankets, doing hair and makeup, and arts and crafts. She loved to dance and sing. One of her favorite songs was by the legendary 2Pac Shakur, California Love. She would sing "California knows how to party."
Debbie had a very special friend in Rita Christian. They had been friends since the 5th grade. She was more than a friend to her - they were more like sisters. They had a word that they would say all the time to each other, whether they were on the phone or leaving each other's side and that word was "Later." They had a sisterhood that lasted a lifetime.
Throughout her life, she struggled with many demons. Regardless of what they were, she always found her way back to God. He was her light through any situation.
Along her road in Ohio, she adopted two extra children through love, and they are Stephanie Hatfield and Christy Brice. She loved them as though they were her own.
Debbie is survived by son Bradley Gayle Williams of Raleigh, North Carolina; daughter Brandee Nicole (Micah) Dixon-Cox of Columbus, Ohio; sister Donna (Williams) Schmidt of Selma, California; grandson Richard Dewitt Fultz, Jr. of Columbus, Ohio. She was preceded in death by sister Alberta (Williams) Alfving. She had many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends.
