It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Deborah Curnutte Fahner, who was born on November 3, 1955, and departed from this world on May 19, 2023. She resided in Grove City, Ohio, throughout her life and was beloved by all who knew her.
Debbie, as she was affectionately known by her friends and family was the daughter of James (Thelma) Curnutte and stepmom Shirley Curnutte. She married the love of her life on October 3, 1973, David Fahner, and together they have a son named David Fahner II.
Debbie was a dedicated employee of Southwestern City Schools, working as a school cook. She took pride in providing meals to countless students and staff, always with a smile on her face.
Survived by husband David, son David (Tabitha) Fahner II, sister Clara (Larry) Smith, brother Dan (Anne) Lake, stepsisters Barb and Mary Haughey, stepbrothers Dan, Jeff and David Haughey. Grandchildren Lindsie Riley, David (Amanda) Fahner III, Braiden Fahner. Great grandchildren: Odin, Braelynn, Jo-Lyn, and Corvin. Nieces: Beverly Smith, Tammy (Mark) White, Thelma (David) Maloney. Great Nieces Mary, Debra, Elizabeth, Marissa, Katie, Shaelyn and, Aaliyah. Great nephews Bryan, Matthew, Tyler, Dominic, and Shawn. Great Great Nephews Isaiah and Tucker. Great Great Niece Gracie, along with numerous cousins.
Debbie will be remembered for her love with the color purple, Garfield (and lasagna), shopping, and her adoration of 44oz fountain pop. Her loss will be felt deeply by her family, friends, and all who knew her. We take comfort in knowing that she will forever be with us in spirit and that her memory will live on.
