Deborah Cheryl Moore

February 7, 1953 — August 2, 2023

Deborah C. Moore, 70, of Worthington Ohio passed away on August 2, 2023 after a long battle with cancer. Deborah was born in Mobile, Alabama on February 7, 1953 to the late Burke Moore III and Ernestine T. Mass and lived most of her life in Columbus, OH.

Deborah attended Roosevelt Junior High School and graduated from Columbus South High School in 1971. On an academic scholarship, Deborah attended Ohio State University and spent her career of 36 years as a Respiratory Therapist with OhioHealth (Doctors Hospital). Deborah accepted Christ in the early 90's and is a former member of Corinthian Missionary Baptist Church.

Deborah was an avid sports fan and collector of sports memorabilia and travel souvenirs. Deborah was exceptionally knowledgeable about all sports, with her favorite being tennis. She often attended tennis tournaments with her dream of attending the US Open.

Deborah never married and had no children. She is preceded in death by Mother, Father, Sister, Gail (Moore) Conley and brother, Bobby Ray Graham (AL), sister-in-laws, Ara Lavon (Harris) Moore (TX), Diana (Walker) Moore and numerous other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. The most recent deaths being cousin, Ineice (Bonnie) Mass-Johnson (AL), uncle, Roosevelt O. Besteda and aunt, Joycelyn (Marlowe) Parker.

Deborah is survived by sisters Yolanda (Ralph) Duncan (CA), Donna R. Moore, Jacqueline (Graham) Stepney (AL) and brother Anthony B. Moore (TX), also close Sister/Cousin Vanessa (Besteda) Jackson (IL) and brother/cousin Royce (Sharlene) Besteda (KY), and nephew, Sean K. Hill, nieces, Crystial Moore (TX) and Yolanda (Rex) Harris-Herford (TX) and her heart, great nephew, Jaden R. Hill to whom she was the second mother and numerous greats and grands nieces and nephews.

Deborah requested cremation and did not want a formal service.

The Family would like to thank everyone for their kind words and support during this difficult time. A special thanks is offered to ProMedica Hospice for making Deborah's last months tranquil and comfortable. Any donations in her name to Promedica Hospice and American Cancer Society would be appreciated.
