Delbert Hammond, 64, of Hilliard, OH passed away on December 8, 2011 after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's. He was born on January 2, 1947 in West Virginia. He was preceded by his parents, James and Minnie Hammond, son, Kevin Hammond, sister, Ramona Marcum, brothers, Ernest Hammond, Turner Hammond, father and mother in-law, Paul and Fran Hern. Surviving family includes, loving wife, Judy Hammond, daughter, Kelly (Dennis) Finley, son, Kyle (Valerie) Hammond, daughter-in-law, Jennifer Hammond, grandchildren, Phillip Finley, Abby Finley, Kayla Hammond, sisters, Geneva Marcum, Laura Chapman, Wilma Hammond, brothers, Larry, Charles and Lee Hammond. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00pm, Friday, December 9, 2011 at Newcomer Funeral Home and Crematory, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00am, Saturday, December 10, 2011 at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Northlawn Memory Gardens, Westerville, OH. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the Columbus Alzheimer Care Center, 700 Jasonway Ave., Columbus, OH 43214 or Odyssey Hospice, 540 Officecenter Place, Gahanna, OH 43230.
