Delbert R. Dalton, age 72 passed away at home on September 15, 2023, with his family by his side. He was born on June 29, 1951 in Charleston, West Virginia to the late Delbert and Anna (Bowen) Dalton.
Delbert was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was employed at DSCC for many years. He enjoyed spending time with his family, studying his bible, going to church, and telling others about God. He had a soft spot for animals and was known to feed "Mommy Cat and Lucky Doo", the neighborhood strays.
Delbert is preceded in death by his wife, Debra (Horn) Dalton, his father Delbert Dalton, his mother Anna (Bowen) Dalton, brothers Daryl Dalton and Hubert Dalton.
He leaves behind a family that loved and will miss him including his daughter, Angela (Mark) George, and his son Delbert (Trisha) Dalton, his grandchildren; Nathan, Sean, Michael (Meagan), Aaron, Becca (Nicholas), Austin, Alexandria, Tristan, Joey, Lynsey (Chris), and Laura, great-grandchildren, Robby, Eileen, Mark, McKell, Grey, Addie, Chase, Jameson, Oliver, Amelia, Josie, Conrad, and baby boy Seabolt, who he had prayed to be here to meet in January. He is also survived by one brother, Paul (Helen) Dalton, and two sisters-in-law, Winnie Dalton and Linda Dalton, as well as many nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 23, 2023, at Newcomer Southwest Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH, where a memorial service will held at 4:00 p.m. After the memorial service, the family invites everyone to The Daily Growler, 2812 Fishinger Rd., Upper Arlington, OH 43221, for fellowship and food.
