Deloras O. Jividen, 99, of Columbus passed away January 22, 2011. She was born October 8, 1911 to her late parents Francis Calvin and Martha Caroline Ford. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Delmas R. Jividen; siblings, Charles Ford, Gertrude Bond and Minnie Colburn; half siblings, Walter and Martin Ford, Lenora Rodgers, Lavina Webb and Alice Friend. She is survived by her care giver and special niece, Opal Killilea Cook, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Deloras joined the Avondale United Methodist Church in 1943, she was a very active member of the church until her health declined. She owned and operated her own beauty shop for 42 years. After retirement she volunteered over 8500 hours of her time to the Mt. Carmel health system working part time. Deloras was truly a caring and loving person and will be sadly missed. Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 26, 2011 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH 43123. Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, January 27, 2011 at the funeral home. Burial at Oak Grove Cemetery.
