Delores A. Gilmore, 81, of Columbus, passed away Saturday, June 25, 2016 at the Springfield Masonic Community.
She was born April 26, 1935 in Mayslick, KY, daughter of the late John and Myra Garrison Duncan.
In addition to her parents, Delores was preceded in death by her husbands, Milton Atherton and Burton Gilmore; foster parents, William and Emily Haller; infant brother, John Duncan Jr.; sisters, Betty Planck and Helen Shrout; niece, Brenda Mahan; nephew, Richard Planck.
She is survived by her former husband, George Mitchell; children, Stephen Atherton, Annette (Milton) Wittenmyer-Skeen, Mary (Jerry) Miller and Bill Atherton; sister, Sarah Fitzwater; grandchildren, Steven Guilkey II, Caleb Wittenmyer and Emily (Jason) Wittenmyer-Payne; great grandchildren, Ella and Jack Payne; niece, Marilyn Mitchell and precious granddog, Buster J.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 6, 2016 from 4:00-6:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd. Columbus, with the memorial service beginning at 6:00 PM at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Lupus Foundation of America, 2000 L Street NW Ste. 410 Washington, D.C. 20036.
