Denise Sue Martin

January 13, 1960 — February 18, 2025

Denise Sue Martin, affectionately known as "Nina," was a vibrant spirit who touched the lives of all who knew her. Born on January 13, 1960, in La Porte, Indiana, Denise embraced life with a spunky and sassy personality that made her a beloved figure in her community. Sadly, she departed this world on February 18, 2025, leaving behind a legacy filled with love and warmth.

Denise dedicated more than 15 years of her life to Scioto Industries before retiring, but her true joy came from her family. She wore many hats throughout her life, but none more cherished than that of grandmother. A devoted caregiver, she took immense pride in creating beautifully crocheted blankets for each of her beloved grandchildren, ensuring that they felt wrapped in her love at all times. She relished every moment spent cheering for OSU football, her spirit as lively as the game itself.

Known for her welcoming nature, Denise never turned away a stranger. Her doors were always open, embodying a loving spirit that instantly made others feel at home. With her outspoken demeanor and fun-loving attitude, she was universally recognized as the best grandma around, offering a generous heart to all her grandchildren—Connor(Jason), Stacie (Brady), Maximos, Jordan, Jaden, Katelynn, Timmy, Sabrina, Kairi, Logan, Michelle, Adayla, and Makayla. Her pride extended beyond just her grandchildren; she found joy in her great-grandchildren as well—Zaylee, Samantha, Amelia, Jason, Averi, Aiden, Henry, Mariska, and Azula.

Denise held great pride in her accomplishments, particularly in being a homeowner, which symbolized her dedication to her community. She cherished the area she lived in and actively celebrated those around her, nurturing a sense of belonging that resonated with all.

She is survived by her loving family, including her daughter Veronica "Ronnie" (Randy) Faught, son David (Lisa) Wilson, daughters Katherine Martin and Margaret Martin, along with her brother David (Darlene) Harold, and her and ex-husband Jeffrey Martin. Her spirit will forever be felt through the countless memories shared with her beloved children and grandchildren.

Denise is preceded in death by her father, mother, Mary E Mead, sister, Mary Webb, and brother, Michael Jared. Though she has left this earthly realm, her legacy of love, laughter, and kindness will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those who adored her. Nina's memory will forever be a cherished part of her family’s story, a reminder of the beautiful connections that bind them together.
