Dennis James Cowell, 65, passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2022 in Columbus, Ohio.
He was born on May 24, 1957 in Mansfield, Ohio to the late William and Honora Cowell.
Dennis is preceded in death by brother, Robert Cowell.
Dennis is survived by sons, Dennis Cowell, David Cowell, Daniel Cowell, Damon Cowell; siblings, Diane (William) Niehoff, William (Beverly) Cowell, Thomas Cowell, Lawrence (Kathleen) Cowell, Edward (Susan) Cowell, John Cowell, Mary Cowell, Julia (Joseph) Westmoreland; 13 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Dennis graduated from Ontario, Ohio High School and served honorably in the U.S. Army.
He was an active member of St. Paul's Catholic Church in Westerville, an avid photography and a big NASCAR fan. His most recent residence was in Columbus, Ohio with his sister, Mary.
A funeral mass will be held at St. Paul's Catholic Church, 313 N. State Street, Westerville, OH on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at 9:30am. A Celebration of Life will be held at the VFW, 2436 Walcutt Rd, Hilliard, OH on Sunday, January 8, 2023 from 12:00pm to 4:30pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to William R. Schnug Memorial Post 614, 4579 Avery Rd, Hilliard, OH or donor's favorite charity in Dennis's honor.
