Dennis Wayne Wood

Dennis Wayne "Woody" Wood, 56 of Columbus, Ohio. Retired his cape to be with his Lord and Savior. He was a superhero and fought a long 11 year battle with cancer.

Born in Kalamazoo, Michigan on May 23, 1966 to loving parents the late Dennis Lee Wood and Elizabeth May (Kern) Wood.

Preceded in death by father, Dennis Lee Wood; son, Dennis Lee Wood; brother, Bradley Ray Wood; brothers-in-law, John Branscomb, Jeremy Branscomb, and William V. Niles.

He is survived by his loving, caring, devoted wife of 39 years and partner of 42, Tamera Lynn (Sowers) Wood; mother, Elizabeth May (Kern) Wood; mother-in-law, Sharon Louise Branscomb; children, Denise Lynn Wood, Christopher Ryan Wood; grandchildren, Malerie, Jacob, Monica, Alexis, Tyler, Nevaeh, Dennis, Skyler, Winter, Christopher, Codey, Caden, Cameron, and Makayla; and great-grandchildren; siblings, Anthony (Joe Ann) Wood, Laverne Marie Wood-Bullerdick, Sondia Arleen Wood, David Erie (Mary) Wood, Sammy Lynn (Cheryl) Woods, Debra Denise Wood-Niles, Michele Lee Wood, Michael Ray Wood; brother-in-law, James (Kristie) Branscomb; sister-in-law, Barbara Wood; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.

Dennis was kind, sweet, comical, and loved his family. Dennis enjoyed collecting comic books and war memorabilia. He was a devoted Ohio State Football, Dallas Cowboys, and Bengals fan. He enjoyed drawing and was a talented natural artist. He loved fishing, music, and hanging out with his friends. He brought joy to all who knew him. He treasured his wife, Tammy who was his everything.

Visitation Tuesday, April 25, 2023 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Newcomer, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH. Funeral Service Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at 10am at the Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Obetz Cemetery, Obetz, OH.
