Devonia Christine Phillips, 80, from Dublin, Ohio, passed away October 17, 2021.
She was born in Landsaw, KY on July 13,1941 to the late John and Martha (Taulbee) Tibbs.
Preceding her in death were her Husband, Kelly Phillips; Siblings, Roy Tibbs, Willie Tibbs, Elizabeth Luneack, Naomi Beor, Geneva Pence and Joann Hall.
Surviving family include sons, Darrell Lee Phillips (Ferbie Ann) of Dublin, OH and Gregory Allen Phillips (Kathleen) and Granddaughter, Kimberly Trombly of Felton, DE; Grandson, Kelly Phillips of Nampa, ID; Great Granddaughters, Quinnlee and Capri Trombly of Felton, DE; Sister- in-law, Para Tibbs; and many nieces and nephews.
Devonia graduated from Wolfe County High School in 1957. While at a church function in Dayton, OH, she met her loving spouse, Kelly, of 49 years. They moved to Columbus, OH in 1967 and while raising her family, she worked part time in retail. She had a great passion for fashion, and she wore it well. Weekly hair appointments were a must and she took pride in her appearance daily. Watching her favorite shows on television and playing bingo were her daily past time. She loved her family tremendously and enjoyed time spent together. She will be greatly missed by all.
Graveside services will be held at Blendon Central Cemetery, Westerville OH on Monday, October 25, 2021 at 10am.
