Diana K. Barry

Diana Barry, 82, of Bonita Springs, Florida, passed away December 22, 2024.

Diana was born March 19, 1942 in Youngstown, Ohio to John and Julia (Sostoric) Simunic. Diana taught chemistry for nearly 30 years at Copley High School in Copley, Ohio. She enjoyed her retirement in Bonita Springs, Florida spending time with the Tennis Babes, playing cards with her friends, and especially enjoying time with her husband Frank. 

Diana will be deeply missed by family and friends; her children, Rebecca Barry (Henry Keiluhn) and Julie Barry (Charles Wilson); her grandchildren, Zachary and Tim Rivera, and Olivia and Owen Barry-Wilson; Siblings, Richard Simunic (Linda O’Malley), Dot Marek, and Nancy Simunic (Steve Flower). 

Diana was preceded in death by her husband Frank Barry and her parents John and Julia Simunic. 

A memorial service will be held on March 15, 2025 at 11:30 am at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 101 E High St, Mt. Vernon, Ohio 43050 with Rev. Charles Wilson officiating.
